I'm trying to source research for identifying grey colours. Not just the grey scale between black and white, but all those fascinating half-tones that are so difficult to analyse and identify.
anybody want to help me??
Hi, when you say your trying to source research for identifying the grey scale, are you looking for a list of all the possible greys for computer colours, or something else?

http://www.colourtherapyhealing.com/community/images/icons/icon5.gifno. i'm interested in chromatic greys i.e. those colours which when mixed with sufficient white or black, lose their identity. they become indistinct and nameless.
this is more an artistic thing, rather than just a computer thing. i'm interested in tracing reports, articles or books which refer to these colours. how do we see them, how do we identify them? can some people identify them more than others? how can we train our eyes to establish the elements which make up these colours? (how much of the primary colours, how much of the secondary colours?
does that make more sense??
