Which colours are good to use in a living room? For example, what is a good color for a sofa?

Dear Diana,
Thank you for joining our forum.

Colours for the living room can be any colour really depending upon what you want from your room. If you want to just 'chill out' then use the calming colours (violet, indigo, blue) with their complimentary colours for balance or shades of green with some warm colours dotted around.

If your living room is generally an 'activity' room, then use the more stimulating colours (red, orange, yellow) and again introduce the complimentary colours for balance.

Personally I would avoid red and orange for your sofa as, even if it is an activity room, there will be times when you may want to just relax and red is not the ideal colour for this. Also red does sometimes feel a little claustrophobic.

I hope this helps.

Kindest regards,
Valerie.

hihi,

In my oponion, I think the light colour is better, because light

colour (such as, white, light blue, light yellow, etc.) can make you

more comfortable. When you use a bright in colour (for example,

red, orange, dark blue or black, etc.) , it may hurt your eyes.

So, when you colour your living room , it would be in light

colour. oh , if you think the colour is plain , you can paint or draw

something on it , and it can make it more interesting.
