I was always attracted to red and oranges, in clothing and home decor, but in the last few months this has changed and I feel a really strong attraction towards jade and turquoise. What does it mean when you have a sudden change like this in the colours that you are attracted to?

Hi Samyjane,
Are you still in your jade and turquoise phase?
We have strong attractions to colours usually when we need those particular colours. Jade(green) relates to the heart centre and turquiose, throat and immune system and emotional healing. Green is also the colour which relates to the thymus gland - our immune system. Perhaps one of these areas has needed some help recently and rings a bell with you and explains your preference for the two colours rather than red and orange.
I hope this helps to answer your question.
Best wishes,
Valerie.

The reds and oranges likely resonated with you while going through a grounded phase in your life where you may have been focused on the home, material life and general security and physical vitality - basically the lower two chakras are the most 'physical' energy colours or centres.
Now that you are resonating with jade green and turquoise you've moved into a phase where expressing and communicating from the heart is more predominant for you. You may be feeling a need to connect more with others and express who you really are and you don't need the comfort zone and stability of the warmer reds and oranges any longer.
About a year ago I changed from the blues and earthy tones that I'd worn since a child and moved to magenta and purple and then started integrating some orange and turquoise, showing that I no longer needed the safety and comfort of the mid-blues and earthy colours and could start to express my intuitive and creative side and connect more with others.
