contraindications to colour therapy

Hi,
Im currently doing a very basic vtct colour therapy course, and i have just come across a reaction that i wasnt told about.....my client suffers from agoraphobia- fear of large spaces....but failed to tell me at the consultation process....
The client picked violet and yellow ....and when i placed a violet silk cloth on her body and asked her to breath in the colour violet...she became very flushed around the neck jaw...area....so i felt she needed yellow instead. At the end the Client seemed to have a great treatment and talked about angelic stuff.

Anyway a week later the client returns and guess what, she had a bad week and that her agoraphobia had come out of the wood work!!!
I really felt for this client and she pointed out that she should have told me etc.
My tutor told her yellow and agoraphobia to not go!!!
So why wasnt i told about this...and noted it down for contraindications etc?

I wonder if theres a good web site or book that perhaps can give more details about condtions and the effects of colour with them?

Hello there,

I'm a newbie on this forum and this is my first time posting anything. Your question caught my attention since I've been a colour metaphysician for 13 years and have been doing treatments with the colour therapy I've developed.

The way I work is without any previous consultation or knowing anything about the client other than the three Bottles of naturally based energetic colours they choose which tell me of their souls messages.

Here's a go at what I see happened with your client:

First of all, don't be so hard on yourself since colour is a lifelong study and as the universe changes, so do the messages of how we are using them. This includes all mutations presenting themselves in our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. You will see at the end of this post that I believe what you did was correct, and it did in fact bring up exactly the reactions needed to begin her release, allowing her to heal. :)

She chose Violet and Yellow. First off, Violet and Yellow in colour metaphysics is the "Spiritual/Disconnection" axis. This person is missing her Gold (the blend of the Violet and Yellow), therefore knows not who she is. This causes fear in all realms as her Heart of Gold or "higher Heart" is being ignored.

The colour of agoraphobia is Green, since Green is the colour of Time and Space...space to move about. The opposite of Green is Red, which also tells me this person does not feel safe or grounded in walking this world.

Above she's missing her Gold. The opposite is Indigo, which is the "Wisdom Axis" and tells me this goes back into the lineage of her family. Her agoraphobia most likely came from when she was a child. This I believe is the reason her throat turned Red as the anger had imploded by not being able to express to her parents how she felt and lost her authority.

Fear is Yellow, which is the child. Therefore, the search to help her heal is the child calling back it's soul to revisit what happened, thus enable her to let it go.

If you choose to do diagnosis first, then yes...ask the client to reveal everything about themselves including medications. All of these things effect our work with the soul and to expect higher vibrational shifts, you absolutely must be aware of as much as possible. I do feel in this case, she should have revealed her problem since you did not know her. For your work to be the best, they must always be honest with you no matter how insignificant or otherwise they think these issues are.

In order to grow in this line of work, exploring other educational modalities and literature are key to becoming successful. One book I do recommend is the book I wrote on the subject of colour therapy called "Auracle's Colour Therapy: The Power of Love Through Colour", which explains every aspect of every colour including illnesses and how to heal them.

There is no system, just suggestions to help heal dis-eases as well as prevent them, which is most important.
