Over-energized chakras

Hello everyone! I've just joined up to this beautiful site and wondered if anyone could offer any help towards the following question:

If a chakra is over-energized, what colour should be added to rebalance it?

Any thoughts etc would be most welcomed! It's been puzzling me for a while...

As a rule of thumb, it is generally wise to treat the chakra in question wiith the complementary colour - eg; solar plexus is yellow, so treat with violet to stabilise.
In colour therapy, chakras are usually given a burst of the complementary colour in order to leave them balanced.
You do need to know the colours associated with the chakras though!
