Colour Therapy - mind and colour

I am very new to all of this - and was wondering if someone could help me with a query.....What part of the mind does colour link to? and how is our metabolism affected by light? :?:

Colour - the varying wavelenths of visible light - affects the whole body. Every cell needs light and is receptive to light. The brain is affected by colour and regulates the release of hormones in the brain the thus throughout the body.
