Hi everyone!
I am a therapist, and I would like to warm anyone that is thinking to do this in a profesional way as I've just have the most eye opening experience.
(Perhaps you can recoment some colors to recover myself from the shock and to stop me feeling so foolish for it).

I had just registered as a Therapist when a Marketing company called me and told me they were a local PHARMACY in the town I live in the South of England, and wanted to send some of their clients to me.

They came to my house the following day. The man, called KEVIN DUNN, never told me they were LEISURE-MEDICAL UK in Lancashire(Marketing and Car Boot sale organizers) and the Pharmacy they told me about has confirmed not knowing anything about them and is not involved in anyway.

This man said they worked for the NHS and then he used every pressure tactic, he distracted me with questions about music and other things, didn’t explain anything clearly, avoided my questions and acted irritated when I tried to clarify anything.

I Asked him to give me time to think about it and to ask some colleges, as I had never thought about advertising myself, but he told me I had to do it there and then and made me feel like I was wasting his time.

I ended up giving him £100 cash and I signed, what I thought was the receipt for it, but to my surprise, it was a contract for 2 years!
(They would advertise me in a leaflet and I would pay them £350!)

I called them strait back, but they were rude to me and told me that the man would ring me back. He never did, so I called again and told them I wanted to cancel it. They told me I couldn’t cancel and I had NOT cooling off period, then THEY THREATED ME to get legal advice if I cancelled the contract.

I cancelled it by a recorded delivery letter under the “DOOR STEP SELLING REGULATIONS WITH 7 DAYS COOLING OFF PERIOD” the following day.

But, nearly a month later, they have taken another £125 from my bank account and have set another £125 payment for the beginning of January!

Now I have found out many other therapist witch lives have also been disturbed by this company going to their homes, lying to them and taking their money against their own will.

It seems to be an ongoing saga, so please be very careful before making any agrements as there are a few companies making a living by obtaining money fraudulently from therapist. I just don't want anyone to go though the heartache I have been going trough this past months. I used to be a very positive and trusting person that only say the good in everyone but I'm finding it difficult to see the world in the same color I used to now....

Regards
